Dr. Gary Abraham | Physician, Brampton
Dr. Abraham graduated from the University of Toronto in 1990 with a Degree in Medicine. Prior to attending medical school, he completed a Degree in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo. His subspecialties were Exercise Physiology and Sports Medicine. In 1994, he obtained his Diploma in Sports Medicine from the Canadian Academy of Sports Medicine. At present, he is on staff at William Osler Health Centre in Brampton where he practices both Family and Sports Medicine. He is also the Director for The Sports Medicine Specialists, Brampton location.
Dr. Abraham has a special interest in caring for and treating hockey players. For the past 15 seasons he served as Team Physician for the Brampton Battalion, OHL JR A hockey team. He is also the author of the booked called “Kids’ Hockey. The Parent’s Guide”. This book was published in 2000 and sold over 30 000 copies across North America. It is endorsed both by Hockey Canada and the Ontario Minor Hockey Association. Dr. Abraham also serves as a medical consultant to the Ontario Minor Hockey Association, Canada’s largest hockey body. He has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating concussions.
At the clinic he treats all other types of sports injuries and has over 20 years experience in the field of Sports Medicine.
