Sport Medicine Physicians

Our primary care doctors have specialized training in the field of sports medicine.  They have obtained a diploma in sports medicine from the Canadian Academy of Sports Medicine.

With this vast array of knowledge and experience they will assess any problem you may encounter and develop a complete plan to get you back to your sport or any other activity as quickly and as safely as possible.

Our clinic is unique in that we have medical doctors on staff to coordinate all of your care at The Sports Medicine Specialists.  The sports medicine physician works closely with other members of our team, which include physiotherapists, massage therapists, other services such as orthopaedic bracing and custom orthotics by our certified pedorthist.

Our sports medicine physicians are well connected in the community and usually are able to expedite referrals to other specialists if other medical services are needed.  We also have access to a variety of different types of radiological investigations, which include x-rays, nuclear medicine studies, CT scans and MRI scans through William Osler Health Centre in Brampton.

Our physicians are also trained in a variety of different types of therapeutic injections, which include cortisone and hyaluronic acid. (see Special Procedures section)

All of our physicians are on staff at William Osler Health Centre.  Most physician services are covered by your Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP).
